Life 4.0

Busy as heck, but in a good way 90% of the time. The internship I landed is allowing me to create some ridiculously cool things that I will share here when I can. So keep coming back.

The issue:
Had to pull the kid from a school he was comfortable and happy with and place him in one where he can hang out all day while his 'rents are at work. The biggest plus about the new school is there is a kid that used to be our neighbor there that Tuck knows. Instant friend. Today's his first day, we'll see how it goes. It's been a hard transition from me in school to me at work for him especially. He had me to watch him everyday of his life because I was in night school or late shifts at work so he didn't have any day care, just me. Momma came home from work and watched him for the rest of the day. Her schedule hasn't changed, but mine is completely flipped. I now have a 9-5 job so he has to be in daycare 5 days a week. Add to that the reduced face time with his dad and we have a grumpy kid in the making. I'm hoping he adjusts quickly. It's been hard on him the last couple of weeks while I started the intern and it's been hard on the wife while the kid focuses on wanting to see me. Since her schedule hasn't changed at all, he hasn't had to adjust to her so he's fixated on me. She feels neglected.

That's all for now. Stay tuned faithful viewers.

I guess it was worth the hype.

The Brett Favre experiment isn't done yet, but so far, it has been a resounding success. So much so that the most overhyped team of the year got their asses handed to them. I'm willing to bet the Saints will be heavily favored amongst the pundits this weekend against the Vikings.

If the Vikes win next week, they have the chance to play the Jets in the Superbowl. That will be a huge story line. It almost feels like the stars aligned so Brett Favre can accomplish everything he's ever wanted. He broke a bunch of records again this season (my favorite being he's the only player to beat all 32 teams). He beat the Cowboys for the first time in the playoffs. His NFC championship game against the Saints is being played in the same dome where he won his Super Bowl ring. He grew up a Saints fan, so this is like a homecoming game, possibly his last. He had the best statistical year of his storied career. And if the Jets make it to the Superbowl, it's like a perfect scripted ending to the season. The only thing that would have made the playoffs more like a movie script is if the Packers had made it to the NFC Championship game.

I'm excited for next weekend. It can't come fast enough.

post script (thanks matty)
I am going to try to update my blog more often in the foreseeable future. Sorry I let it sit idle for so long. School had a strangle hold on me, but that is over. Bigger and better things are on the horizon. Stay tuned.
